Nickki Bouchey | Somatic Liberation Guide

All my work is based on the body as the altar - that's what Somara means. Where many practices aim for us to transcend the body - all of my practices aim to drop us deeper into the body. To enjoy this being human thing. And that's expressed through many different outlets - storytelling, sharing, art, creativity, journaling and movement.

When I was little my fiesty, stand up for myself and others - I don't care what anyone thinks attitude earned me the nickname Nikki Tyson. But strong girls are labeled bossy and too much and overtime and that fire dwindled and pent up emotions, traumas and perfectionism left me with high blood pressure at 23. This kicked off a huge healing journey for me and woke up my inner warrior. I became a self-help addict and even though I intellectually understood the changes I wanted to make my body just wasn't catching up. Breathwork and somatic practices did what all the books and programs couldn't - it helped me truly embody the person I already was under all the chronic stress and trauma. Somatic practices in Circle though with other women - that's next level. My ability to let love in, be seen and feel empowered amplified at such a fast pace. These experience are at the heart of everything I do and offer - somatic experiences through movement, art, journaling with other women - in group - it's truly life changing.
